The next big idea is already in your head. So what’s next? Hope for a sponsor who may or may not come? Ask your grandparents for some early heritage? Rather than taking the path of the powerless, join the real world of business and ask investors instead. There are several acceleration programs from several big companies – and we want to show you four of them:
“You is now“ offers support for founders to help implement their ideas. All you need is to send an email with your idea to the “You is now“ team and, after being accepted, pitching it in front of their team. If you are successful, your idea will not only be supported by a one-time-cheque, but a monthly subsidy up to a limit of 500,000 €. You don’t need to have your own company – maybe you’re just a two-man or two-woman crew. In addition to hard cash, “You is now” offers support through talent – like marketing experts and developers. They also give you the opportunity to work in the offices of Immobilienscout 24.
Another accelerator you may have heard of is Wayra by Telefonica. Apply on the website and hold on until you are invited to the Wayra-week. There, you pitch your idea to a group of specialists from the Telefonica team. If you are selected as one of the best ten, you will be offered the chance to take part in the six month Incubation Acadamy. Each group in the academy receives between 20,000 and 50,000 € of financing. You also get business administration, marketing planning and legal assistance from Telefonica experts, or additional external experts. After the six month academy, Wayra will keep the projects with the most potential and continue to support them with their network, investors, partners and access to all their customers.
The third local accelerator we would suggest is evobis, the first stop in Munich and southern Bavaria for company formation, financing and acceleration. They specialize in guiding founders and entrepreneurs in developing a business plan and taking the steps to implement it. Evobis is supported by public and private stakeholders as well as by Universities and Academic Research Facilities. Evobis is a coaching accelerator for navigating start-ups. They help you to find your way to a big investor.
Twice a year, the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator invites young entrepreneurs and talented individuals to submit an application with their startup idea. From all the submissions, as many as seven young companies will qualify for the Accelerator program. Business ideas involving the entertainment industry or e-commerce can then benefit from the know-how, expertise and an extensive network offered by Germany’s largest TV group.
In August Allianz announced their Digital Accelerator. They want to build new business models for Allianz and accelerate their execution and implementation within the insurance company. The core believe of this Accelerator is speed and execution, their offer for corporate entrepreneurship and their love for collaboration with new Startups and emerging technology partners.
Speaking of Munich, you shouldn’t forget to name the „Munich Startup Accelerator“. This program helps StartUps to turn their idea into a successful company. It’s a program where you learn everything about business and essential skills to run your business.
According to “Die Welt” Siemens also plans on a new Accelerator-Program called Siemens Novel Business (we already told you about).
